Quanta Athena

Getting Started with Quanta Athena

Navigation

This guide shows how to deploy Quanta Athena with controlled risk so you can validate operating quality before increasing capital.

The objective of onboarding is practical verification: confirm that Athena is behaving as designed in your environment across execution quality, regime handling and risk containment.

Deployment Objective

Before activation, define success criteria for your desk:

  • stable data and options refresh behaviour,
  • coherent regime transitions,
  • controlled order frequency and exposure,
  • metrics that remain interpretable under live conditions.

Prerequisites

Prepare a production-ready environment before live deployment:

  • Gunbot installation
Use a stable host and a supported Gunbot version.

  • Exchange account and API permissions
Enable read and trade permissions only. Do not enable withdrawals.

  • Options-data-compatible market selection
Use assets and venues where option-chain context is available and reliable.

  • Risk policy and capital plan
Define max capital per pair, escalation rules and acceptable drawdown boundaries.

Licence and Activation

  1. Acquire Athena through official Quanta channels.
  2. Confirm licence activation to your Gunbot environment.
  3. Validate that Athena is selectable in strategy configuration.

Initial Setup Sequence

  1. Add/select trading pairs in Gunbot.
  2. Set strategy to quanta_athena.
  3. Configure baseline controls:
    • TRADE_LIMIT
    • MAX_CAPITAL_LIMIT
    • MIN_VOLUME_TO_SELL
  4. Configure behavioural controls:
    • BUY_ENABLED
    • SELL_ENABLED
    • BUY_LOW
    • SELL_HIGH
    • BUY_ABOVE_BEP
  5. Configure diagnostics and persistence as needed:
    • VERBOSE
    • BALANCE_OUTPUT
  6. Start with conservative size and observe multiple full cycles.

Validation Gates Before Scaling

Scale only after the following are consistently true:

  • cycle timing and data freshness remain stable,
  • order placement respects capital and timer controls,
  • regime shifts produce expected offset/weight changes,
  • metrics show acceptable risk-adjusted operating quality.
  1. Run live simulation with realistic settings.
  2. Run small live size on one pair.
  3. Observe behaviour across multiple volatility regimes.
  4. Tune only one settings group at a time.
  5. Scale in controlled increments.

This staged path is designed to improve decision quality and reduce avoidable deployment risk.
